What to Know about the Air-Breathing Gas Risks of the Gas Industry

A new air-breathing gas has been discovered in the United States, and it’s an extremely dangerous gas.
A report published in the journal Environmental Science & Technology found that the gas is the result of a leak in a well that was connected to a large oil-and-gas production facility.
The gas, called radon, was first discovered in northern Michigan in 2009, but the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has since classified it as a known air pollutant.
But experts say radon has also been found in the atmosphere of more than 100 countries.
“Radon is an unstable, radioactive gas that can travel from one place to another, and can reach very high concentrations in the air, where it is present in concentrations of as much as 5,000 parts per million (ppm),” says Andrew M. Jones, a professor of environmental engineering and professor of chemistry at the University of Colorado.
“So it is a major threat to human health and the environment.”
Radium is a byproduct of the production of petroleum.
It’s produced when a well is drilled into the ground, and when it ruptures, the gas flows to the surface and is released as a gas that eventually escapes into the atmosphere.
It is an extremely toxic gas, and is considered a cancer-causing chemical.
Radon can travel for miles and miles, so it’s often buried in the ground and inaccessible to the human eye.
The gas can also cause damage to plants and structures, and has been known to cause lung cancer.
The risk is highest for people who have lung cancer, according to the EPA.
Radons exposure has been linked to a number of health problems, including breathing problems, chronic lung disease, heart disease, and cancer.
“The radon gas is also known to be a precursor of other radon-related toxins that have been found to cause cancers in humans,” says Jones.
According to the CDC, a person with one lung cancer is four times more likely to develop lung cancer if they have been exposed to radon over the course of their life than a person without lung cancer in that same time period.
The EPA estimates that radon is responsible for about 25,000 deaths per year in the US.
It has also become a major contributor to ozone depletion, as the gas can cause harmful smog in areas where air quality is poor.
“We know that we have radon in the environment, so we know it’s a concern for humans and the atmosphere,” says Chris Kress, a senior scientist at the EPA’s Office of Regulatory Affairs and the lead author of the EPA report.
“But it’s not a concern as much in our country as it is in other countries.”
What is radon?
Radon (pronounced “rad-ee-no”) is a toxic gas produced when oil and gas wells are drilled into rocks and rock formations.
It contains several elements, including radon.
It comes in different forms, depending on the type of oil and natural gas drilling involved, but in general, it is very toxic.
It reacts with oxygen in the Earth’s atmosphere, causing it to release a toxic vapor.
Radon has been shown to be particularly toxic when it’s present in high concentrations, because it can cause damage from breathing and skin exposure.

“What you find is that in places where radon concentrations are high, like in the Midwest, we see a huge increase in the risk of lung cancer,” says Kress.
“And in the states where radontism has been more prevalent, like New York, we’re seeing more lung cancer cases.
So the risk is elevated for those people.”
Jones says that there are more than 1,000 known radon leaks in the U.S. alone.
He says that the EPA is currently investigating radontist claims that they have prevented a number fatalities.
Jones also says that a number companies are now testing for radontic compounds in their products, and the EPA has issued a warning about the dangers of radontics.
Radonics are a type of air pollutants, which are used to clean up old oil and chemical waste, as well as to reduce the risk that people living near the site of an oil or chemical plant can breathe the gas and have an adverse reaction to it.
A radontonic product can be tested by a lab and can be traced back to the source of the radon to confirm the presence of the contaminant.
